CECEP Gansu Weiwu Solar Energy Generation Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Weiwu of Gansu Province on May 20, 2010. It is the wholly-owned subsidiary of CECEP Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd with registered capital of 5,000,000 Yuan.
The CECEP 100MW grid-connected PV power station project in Liangzhou district of Weiwu, Gansu Province, is the exemplary project that takes full advantage of solar energy and develops PV green power and fishes out the model of developing grid-connected PV power station through financing, construction and operation management of this project. At the same time, it helps to increase the proportion of renewable energy sources and improve the energy structure of Gansu Province. This project will be the important demonstration spot for applying PV and have important demonstration significance.
The first phase of CECEP Weiwu 10-megawatt large PV desert power station is in the design process. With the theme of “solar energy”, this project implements the State fundamental policy regarding energy saving and emission reduction and covers an area of 1 square kilometers. After the construction of this project, the annual average of green electric power provided by the project to the local place is 15,737,800 kilowatt-hours in one month. If it replaces power supply by thermal power, according to the fact that thermal power consumes 350 grams of standard coal per kilo-watt hour, it can save about 7085000 tons of standard coals, and the annual emission reduction amount of the pollutants are respectively as follows: 250000 tons of carbon dioxide, 146.73 tons of sulfur dioxide, 79.82 tons of nitric oxide, 1600 tons of smoke (ash proportion 9:1). Suppose the operation period of power station is 25, and within the life cycle of power station, it can reduce 177124800 tons of fire coal consumption, 625000 tons of CO2, 3700 tons of SO2, 2000 tons of nitric oxide and 41100 tons of smoke.
The construction of the project to some extent improves the electricity utilization situation and production and living conditions of the local residents, and at the same time, provides job opportunity to the local farmers and drives related industries and promotes the development of regional economy.
