The International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab was held in Lahore, Pakistan on November 6th and 7th, 2015. CECEP Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. vice-general manager Chen Shuguang and Chairman Cao Huabin both attended the seminar. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong, the Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistani Ambassador to China Masood Khaled, Chinese Consul General in Lahore Yu Boren and other dignitaries also attended the event.
Many Chinese enterprises that attended the seminar reached initial agreements on cooperation with their Pakistani counterparts. Chen Shuguang of CECEP Solar Energy Technology reached a consensus with the Punjabi government on cooperation in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection, with both sides agreeing to cooperate in future on solar energy and waste-to-energy projects. Chairman Cao Huabin of CECEP Solar Energy Technology reached an agreement with the Punjab Energy Department on investment in a 200MW photovoltaic power plant in Punjab in the next few years. Liu Yan of CECEP (Hong Kong) Investment Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with the Punjab government regarding a 200MW photovoltaic project.
The “Belt and Road” Initiative is propelling the strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan to a new level, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will undoubtedly bring mutual benefits to the peoples of both countries.
